Network of Young Change Makers on Sustainability will continue its work in 2025 in Nordics-Baltics
An nonformal CSOs and youth network of change-makers has prepared an intensive cooperation programme for 2025, which includes meetings, trainings, master classes, conferences, summer camps and joint initiatives. Look for programm update (about us).

Projects result
The project strengthened cooperation among Nordic-Baltic civil society organisations by advancing sustainable food systems, promoting responsible consumption, and encouraging healthier and more environmentally conscious lifestyles among youth and local communities. Through a series of international trainings, workshops, study visits, conferences, and the Nordic-Baltic Young Chef Competition, participants enhanced their knowledge of sustainable development, Nordic-Baltic food culture, food waste reduction, and green transition practices, while establishing a stronger cross-border collaboration network for future sustainability initiatives.

Partners and Experts meeting , 6-9th November 2025 in Copenhagen
Meeting was dedicated to sharing best practices and consolidating all educational materials and methodologies into a single digital guidebook “Nordic-Baltic Digital Guidebook on Sustainable Food Transition“ , which was developed and presented at the conference. The guidebook will focus on promoting sustainable lifestyle choices and green growth.

Winner of the Nordic-Baltic Young Chef Award 2025
The Nordic-Baltic Young Chef Award competition was won by the Estonian youth team represented by Emi Allikmäe, Laura Gordeeva, Taissija Kossatskaja, Evelina Trussova and Christelle Rammul.

Conference “Transforming Nordic Sustainable Food Systems through policy change and cooperation
The conference brought together 143 participants – young people and stakeholders to explore innovative, sustainable food system solutions, featuring inspiring keynotes, dynamic panel discussions, and collaborative workshops aimed at driving global change.

Nordic-Baltic Young Chef Competition
will be held on 3rd December 2025 in Narva, Estonia
The competition will be organised on the theme Innovation on Tradition, where by contest members will be asked to innovate traditional recipes from their countries/regions by using local seasonal products.

Take part in an international
conference on 1-2nd December 2025, in Tallinn, Estonia
The Conference programm includes panel discussion, workshops, trainings, conclusion of project activities & presentation of project outcomes.
At the conference we will look deeper into factors influencing environmental & social sustainability, development aid policy change

Second training and Study Visit
in Malmö/Lund, Sweden
28-31st August 2025
The second international training and study visit of the project took place in Lund and Malmö, participants discussed sustainable food systems, environmental impact, consumption habits, and sustainability policies, visited Malmö University and Storm Innovation Hub, and contributed materials and methodologies for the project’s digital educational guidebook.

Kickoff meeting and first training
in Helsinki, Finland 6-9th June 2025 “Sustainable food systems in the Nordic and Baltic countries”
The kick-off meeting and first international training of the project took place in Helsinki, participants explored sustainable food systems, Nordic food culture, healthy lifestyles, and shared best practices while contributing to the development of future educational materials and methodologies.
